This privacy notice (“Privacy Notice”) informs you about how, when, and for which purposes Amrize Ltd, Grafenauweg 8, 6300 Zug, Switzerland (“Amrize”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects and handles your Personal Data when you visit our website, amrize.com. By accessing our website or otherwise providing us with Personal Data, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Notice.

Personal Data” is any information that relates to you and that you can be identified directly from the information or indirectly by reference to other information to which we have access. This Privacy Notice applies in addition to specific notices that we may provide when we collect additional information, such as through certain electronic channels or in connection with specific information requests.

We collect, store, and otherwise process Personal Data in accordance with applicable laws, including the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection of 25 September 2020 (“FADP”), including the Ordinance thereto, each as amended from time to time. We use the terminology of the FADP in this Privacy Notice.

We act as the responsible controller for any Personal Data that you provide to us or that we collect in connection with our business relationship.

2. What Personal Data do we process?

 

In the course of our business activities, we collect and process Personal Data from you, from publicly accessible sources, other business partners, and companies affiliated with us (“Affiliates”) and other third parties providing services to us, and from other individuals, as well as their respective employees and representatives.

In particular, we may collect and process the following categories of Personal Data:

  • Contact Data: name, job title / role, address, telephone number, email address and other contact details.
  • Registration Information: name, country, email address, username and password.
  • Information you share when you communicate with us through our website.
  • Device Information: mobile device unique identifiers and IP addresses when you use our website.
  • Business-Related Data: information on services, business activities, transaction or payment information, feedback and any other information you provide to us.
  • Website Usage Data: data collected through cookies and analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics, tracking pixels).
  • Job applicant information: Information about your employment and education history, employment references and any other information that you provide when applying for a job through amrize.com.

We obtain such Personal Data from the following sources:

  • Directly from you: when you interact with us, such as visiting our website, communicating regarding our products and services, submitting orders, calling our call centers, registering for newsletters or participating in surveys.
  • Automated Technologies: through cookies (described in Section 3 below) and similar technologies when you use our digital platforms or applications.
  • Third Parties: occasionally, we may receive information from business partners or public sources. [For example, if you access social media sites, such as Facebook, or if you interact with a social media function on the online services such as a social medial plug-in (a Facebook "like" button), or if you 'like' our social media pages,  we may receive Personal Data about you from the relevant third party provider of that content.

7. Data Transfer, Storage and Processing

 

When sharing Personal Data in accordance with Section 8, we may transfer your Personal Data to the following countries that offer adequate protection pursuant to the FADP: European Economic Area member states, Canada and USA (if the recipient is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Protection Framework (“DPF”)).

 

To the extent necessary for the aforementioned purposes, we may also transfer your Personal Data to the following countries, which do not offer adequate protection pursuant to the FADP: USA (if the recipient is not certified under the DPF) and potentially other countries, such as Colombia and Jamaica. Such transfer is secured by appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses including amendments necessary under Swiss law) or based on a statutory exemption (e.g., if you have given your consent to the transfer, if the transfer is directly connected with the conclusion or performance of a contract with you or if the transfer is necessary for the establishment, exercise or enforcement of legal claims before a foreign authority).

 

8. Who Do We Share Personal Data With?

 

We may share your Personal Data with our Affiliates around the world. Our Affiliates will use your Personal Data for the same purposes as we do.

 

We may also share your Personal Data with third parties, such as our service providers, for the following purposes:

  • To conduct technical maintenance of our websites and other web platforms;
  • To facilitate a merger, consolidation, transfer of control or other corporate reorganization in which Amrize participates, or pursuant to a financial transaction;

Our service providers who we may share your Personal Data with include:

  • IT Service Providers: we work with IT and systems management partners for our stakeholders and partner-related activities and for our internal IT and management systems.
  • Cloud Storage Partners: we store our and your data in secure data centers around the world.
  • Marketing Partners: these partners enable us to offer you targeted and personalized advertising, promotions and campaigns when you interact with us on our online platforms, social media or elsewhere.
  • Social Media Partners: with the help of these partners, we are present for you and offer you the opportunity to get in touch with us on the popular platforms.
  • Providers of Surveys, Questionnaires and Reviews: these partners help us collect valuable feedback about your experiences with Amrize products and services.
  • Professional Consultants: these include lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers worldwide who provide consulting, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services to us.

Lastly, we may share your personal data with competent authorities, including tax authorities and courts (in Switzerland and abroad), if we are legally obliged or entitled to such disclosure or if it appears necessary to protect our interests.

 

9. How Long Do We Retain Personal Data?

 

The length of time in which we will store your Personal Data will differ depending on the purpose for which we have collected and are processing your Personal Data. In particular, we retain Personal Data:

  • For as long as necessary to provide requested services.
  • To comply with legal retention obligations.
  • For a limited duration after services end, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Personal Data no longer required will be securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with our internal processes and applicable laws.

  • Rectification: request correction of inaccurate Personal Data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your Personal Data when you consider that we process your Personal Data without legal justification.
  • Restriction: request limited processing of your data if it is unclear whether there is a legal justification for the processing of your Personal Data (for instance, after you have objected to such processing).
  • Portability: request a copy of your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
  • Objection: object to our processing of your Personal Data in certain cases.

Please note that erasure or restriction of processing is only possible if and to the extent that the processing of Personal Data is based on your consent or our legitimate interests. However, please note that the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. In the event of an erasure request, we may retain a copy of your Personal Data for our record-keeping purposes and to avoid entering your Personal Data in our systems after your request.

Opting Out of Providing Personal Data or Deleting Account. Please note that while you can always opt not to disclose Personal Data to us, some Personal Data may be needed to set up an account with us or to take advantage of some features on our website. You may be able to add, update or delete information within an account you create. When you update information, however, we may maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records. You may also request deletion of your account by emailing privacy@amrize.com. However, some information may remain in our records after your deletion of such information from your account to meet our legal, business or contractual obligations. We may use any aggregated data derived from or incorporating your Personal Data after you update or delete it, but not in a manner that could reasonably be used to identify you personally, and we may also retain and continue to use your non-personally identifiable information.

Do Not Track. Internet browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a “Do Not Track” signal to digital platforms or other online services you visit. We do not look for, respond to, or alter our practices when We receive a “Do Not Track” signal from a visitor’s browser.
