East Side Coastal Resiliency Project, The BIG U
Started in Fall 2020, the East Side Coastal Resiliency (ESCR) project is a coastal protection initiative that will provide flood protection and improve open spaces for more than 110,000 New Yorkers.
Ductal Structural Engineered Solutions was the ideal choice for this project because of its superior mechanical and durability properties compared to conventional concrete.
In August 2022, the ESCR Project received the "Envision Gold Award" for sustainability from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI).
- To date, 40,000 tons of OneCem cement, an Amrize Brand, and 5,000 tons of slag have been used in the East Side Coastal Resiliency section of the BIG U.
Re-roofing homes in Los Angeles
Amrize partnered with Climate Resolve to re-roof residential homes in Los Angeles, protecting them from extreme heat and air pollution.
