Canada's Leading Cement Producer

Cement is one of the most essential building materials of modern life. Integral to housing, transportation, energy, and critical infrastructure, it plays a vital role in building our communities, cities, and future. As Canada’s leading cement producer¹, Amrize is committed to advancing Canada’s cement industry, supporting Canadian jobs, and serving as the partner of choice for professional builders from foundation to rooftop.

What does the Made in Canada label mean?

Amrize launched its ‘Made in Canada’ label across its domestic cement manufacturing network, offering builders the assurance of Canadian-made manufacturing and quality, supporting local jobs and communities. The label is rolling out across Amrize’s plants from Richmond, British Columbia and Exshaw, Alberta to Bath, Ontario and Brookfield, Nova Scotia.

Following the Competition Bureau of Canada guidelines, the label confirms the Amrize cement is manufactured in Canada with at least 90% Canadian material inside.

Amrize’s Saint-Constant plant outside Montreal will carry the official ‘Manufactured in Québec’ designation administered by Les Produits du Québec.

How is Amrize investing in Canadian cement production?

In 2026, Amrize is investing US $900 million in its operations across North America, including expanding production capacity at its Exshaw and Saint-Constant cement plants. That investment strengthens the resilience of Canada’s cement supply and supports the long-term growth of Canada’s construction sector.

With five cement plants across Canada and an extensive nationwide distribution network, Amrize is Canada’s leading cement producer, keeping customers supplied wherever they build.

We continue to invest in our Canadian operations to strengthen domestic production and ensure builders can reliably access the materials they need for housing, infrastructure, and energy projects.

How does Canadian cement support local jobs and communities?

From our plants and terminals, Amrize delivers high-performance cement to customers across the country. That work sustains thousands of skilled jobs, supports the local economies built around our sites, and underpins the infrastructure that connects Canadian communities. When builders choose cement produced in Canada, that investment stays in Canada.
