Gygi and von Wyss Scholarship
The Gygi and von Wyss Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for the qualified children of eligible employees of US Amrize Cement Inc., Amrize ACM Inc. and their wholly-owned subsidiaries and eligible US employees of Amrize North America Inc.
We believe the scholarship program is an investment in the future and one of the exceptional benefits offered to our employees. Including awards to the 2026 scholarship recipients and to past recipients, the Foundation will disburse approximately $184,000 next year to support the children of our employees in their academic endeavors.
In 2026, a maximum of eight scholarship recipients will receive up to $24,000 towards a four- year college program, with $6,000 provided per year, $3,000 per semester. The scholarship award can be used towards tuition, fees, and books. Students are required to have a 2.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize your child’s academic excellence and to supplement college expenses.
The program is open to current High School Seniors who will graduate before August 31, 2026, High Scholl Graduates who have not started college, and college students who have not completed one academic year (or the equivalent) at a post-secondary institution at the time of selection. Scholarships will be offered to students who meet the requirements, and are chosen by the Foundation's Scholarship Committee. All applications must be received by the Foundation no later than January 30, 2026 to be eligible for consideration.
This scholarship was established in 1983 to recognize the accomplishments of the children of Amrize employees. The award honors the memories of Hans Gygi and Marc R. von Wyss, two former leaders of Holcim and its predecessor companies.
